The Phantom of the Opera: A Modern-Day Retelling
This was originally a project I did for Inktober of 2018, an event in the art community wherein artists complete one ink picture a day for the entire month of October (or at least as much as they can). My goal was to create a story that could be told without any dialogue. Having just watched the classic silent film version of The Phantom of the Opera starring Lon Chaney, I decided that this was the perfect story to tell in a silent format. I threw in an interpretative twist by setting it in the modern day. I chose to continue this project after Inktober ended, and am currently publishing it online as a webcomic.
